Materials Needed:

• Oxygen source, Ozone generator
• Cups suitable for cupping therapy (glass, silicone, or plastic cups)
• Ozone-resistant tubing (if applicable)
• Timer or clock
• Towels or cloth for patient comfort

 

Procedure:

Prepare the Ozone Cupping Equipment:

• Ensure that your ozone generator or ozone cupping device is in good working condition.
• Connect the ozone generator to the ozone-resistant tubing if needed.

Prepare the Patient:

• Have the patient in a comfortable position, either lying down or sitting, exposing the area where cupping will be applied.

Set Up Cups:

• Connect the silicon tubing to inlet port and silicon tubing with destructor to the outlet port. Depending on the design of your cups, create a vacuum or suction in the cups.

Apply Cups to the Skin:

• Place the cups onto the prepared skin, creating a seal. The suction effect should hold the cups in place.

Introduce Ozone Gas:

• If using an ozone cupping device, ensure that ozone gas is being generated.
• Direct the ozone gas into the cup via barbed connector.

Monitor Time:

• Keep track of the time the cups are applied. The duration can vary, but typical cupping sessions last around 5 to 15 minutes.

Remove Cups:

• After the desired time has elapsed, release the suction in the cups and remove them from the skin.

Post-Cupping Care:

• Wipe off any excess cupping gel or oil from the skin.
• It’s common for cupping therapy to leave temporary marks or “cupping marks” on the skin, which are typically harmless and fade over time.

Follow Safety Precautions:

• Follow safety guidelines for handling ozone gas, and ensure that the concentration used is within recommended limits.
